New results have been achieved by Arcadia Yachts in their path towards sustainability. One year after the installation of 612 new solar panels signed Sunerg Solar, covering an area of over 1,200 square metres in its Torre Annunziata (Naples) facility, Arcadia Yachts is now able to produce approximately 300,000 kWh autonomously.
Thanks to this result, equal to 70% of the shipyard’s energy needs in 2023, in addition to the benefits of producing clean energy, Arcadia Yachts has reduced the purchase of “traditional” energy by more than 40% in just one year, feeding a remaining 30% of what was converted from solar energy into the public grid.
“Arcadia was born green!” commented Ugo Pellegrino, sole director of Arcadia Yachts. “We are incredibly proud of our recent green investment aimed at our facility. With the investment having been completed about a year ago, we have set ourselves the goal of achieving a significantly improved impact on the environment in the production phase of our boats, not just in the use phase. We are delighted with the results we have achieved and, as we can also count on the significant financial return from this initiative, we hope to once again become a sector pioneer.”
