The Foiling Organisation, a supporting member of the Italian Marine Industry Association, is holding its Congress in Genoa on Tuesday 20th May. This is the second time that the Foiling Organisation and its President Luca Rizzotti have chosen Genoa as the host city of the global benchmark event for the entire foiling industry, which at the end of the Congress will award the 8th edition of the Foiling Awards.
The central theme of the 2025 Congress will be the sector’s regulation and the definition of the upcoming international guidelines on the certification of foiling units with the official launch of The Foiling Organisation’s Certification Work Groups (CWGs): specialised task forces that will define the objectives, timing, and resources for a four-year roadmap towards a shared and recognised certification standard.
Other key topics scheduled to enliven the Congress are RCD & Foiling Certification, National Registries & Legislative Opportunities, Commercial & High-Speed Units, Personal Watercraft (PWC) definition, and foil applications in Manned and Unmanned Units for Search & Rescue and Defence.
