HP Watermakers has been working alongside the Gulf Craft yard based in Ajman, United Arab Emirates, since 2001. The latest collaboration sees the installation of a system based on HP Watermakers’ HP SCD DOUBLE 260 desalinators on board the new Majesty 100 Terrace starring at the Dubai International Yacht Show 2025.
Furthermore, as Gianni Zucco, co-founder of HP Watermakers, commented, the desalinators were able to take care of “the entire water system on board. So, in addition to the desalinators, we also installed the sterilisation and softening systems for drinking water”.
The system installed on the Majesty 100 Terrace is made up of two independent desalinators set up in the same box and was designed to optimise energy consumption on board and, at the same time, respond to peaks in drinking water consumption.
The HP SCD DOUBLE 260 desalinator with a length of 1,100 mm, a height of 500 mm and a depth of 600 mm and a weight of 130 kg, has reduced overall dimensions against an hourly flow rate that in the system on board the Majesty 1000 Terrace ranges from 2×260 to 2×320 l/h for an installed power of 2×2.2 kW.
