Ever greener, ever more electric: Marina di Loano adds even more to its sustainable services

26 May 2025

New electric boat charging stations and new electric courtesy cars have been added to Marina di Loano’s already brimming package of sustainable high-end services. After being awarded the Blue Flag for 2025 (their eleventh recognition in a row), Marina di Loano continues in its commitment towards sustainable management and constant innovation throughout its offered services. “Sustainability is so much more than just a slogan, it is the tangible dedication with which we apply ourselves every single day, alongside our guests and the entire Marina di Loano team,” emphasised the marina’s CEO Gianluca Mazza.

The Blue Flag awarded to Marina di Loano joins the recognition awarded for the sixteenth year to the Loano municipality for the sustainable qualities of its beaches, representing the close synergy between public and private that strengthens the green identity of the city of Loano and enhances a shared commitment to the protection of the sea and coastline.

Marina di Loano’s latest innovations are an essential part of this winning framework, with the installation and activation of two new Aqua Super Power fast-charging stations for electric boats, one providing 75 kW DC and the other 22 kW AC, both of which are manageable through a dedicated App.

The second new addition to the marina’s sustainable service framework are two 100% electric courtesy cars which emit zero C02 emissions. These are a Jeep Avenger and a Golf Car Alba which are now available for hire to Marina di Loano’s guests and yachtspeople.

The two initiatives, and in particular the installation of the two new recharging stations, as explained by Gianluca Mazza, “represent yet another step forward on the same path of sustainability that we have been pursuing for some time now, and which had already become a significant reality back in 2023 with the construction of a 1,500 square metre photovoltaic plant. In addition to the plant, for several years now the marina has made use of an innovative thermal production system based on a sea water exchange system“.
