Baglietto has published its first Sustainability Report, covering the year 2024, providing a detailed overview of the initiatives undertaken by the yard in terms of environmental, social and governance-related (ESG) aspects, while outlining its strategic objectives for the coming years.
“We believe that investing in sustainability is not only an ethical duty, but a strategic choice to ensure a better future for future generations,” commented Diego Michele Deprati, CEO of Baglietto. “This is why we continue to invest in research and development, adopting innovative solutions and low-impact production processes, such as the Bzero project, which also envisages the use of green hydrogen as a component of the energy/propulsion system for boats over 50m, without ever losing sight of the wellbeing of people and communities.”
The adoption of technologies and materials with a reduced environmental impact and the implementation of company policies oriented towards diversity, equity and inclusion are two of the most significant actions highlighted in the Sustainability Report.
These are complemented by support for social initiatives and collaborations with charitable organisations, both locally and internationally, and the implementation and development of activities aimed at protecting the heritage of an Italian company with over 170 years of history.
