Giovanna Vitelli, President of the Azimut|Benetti Group, received the Blu Livorno Award from the Mayor of Livorno for her significant contribution to the sustainable development of the sea economy,
The award, part of the Biennale del Mare e dell’Acqua initiatives, was presented to Giovanna Vitelli by Mayor Luca Salvetti and City Councillor for Culture Angela Rafanelli, acknowledging the Group’s commitment to environmental sustainability, embodied in strategic choices and actions aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions.
“It was my father who chose Livorno and then took our company, and later the city itself, to new heights, at the top of the world,” stated Giovanna Vitelli. “Behind each of our yachts is the work of many individuals, and we are committed to continue generating value and opportunities for the local territory, building extraordinary items that embody the highest spirit of Made in Italy excellence.”
Two other Blu Livorno Awards were presented to Donatella Bianchi, a journalist and TV presenter who was also awarded the Boating Pioneer Award by the Italian Marine Industry Association in 2024, and Carlo Ratti, architect and town planner.
