What’s New at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show

“We challenge the invisible”. This is the claim of Furuno, the world leader in navigation electronics, which is bringing the latest products for the professional and recreational sectors to the 65th International Boat Show in Genoa.

And Furuno’s new products range from MDF multifunction displays to nautical and weather radar to fishfinders and sonars to GPS and related charting systems. And again from boat displays and systems to communication and satellite systems, from safety systems to autopilots and navigation compasses.

Among the many new products presented by Furuno are the FI-70 “all in one” 4.1-inch colour displays with bonded treatment for excellent visibility even in direct sunlight, and the new FCV-600 and FCV -800 fishfinders that incorporate completely new functionalities based on Furuno’s award-winning technologies.

Plus, the NavNet TZtouchXL Multifunction Displays with extra-large 16″, 22″ and 24″ all-glass screens with exceptional clarity from all angles and the FR-10 and FR-12 10.4″/12.1″ LCD colour radars equipped with the latest technologies such as Risk Visualizer™, a new feature that provides visual information on potential collision areas and the movement of all surrounding vessels.

Other new features include the FM-4880 and FM-4850 radiotelephones, Furuno’s latest generation of VHF communication equipment that encompasses five different functions – VHF Radio, GPS, AIS Receiver, Loud Hailer and DSC – and the SCX-20/21 satellite compass equipped with four antennas that provides accurate course information critical for navigation.
