What’s New at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show
Design, performance and comfort were the driving concepts at the heart of the process that led to the creation of the new Solaris Power 60 Coupé, which Solaris Power is bringing to the global showcase that is the 65th Genoa International Boat Show for the very first time. The signature of the new Solaris Power 60 Coupé’s design is that of Brunello Acampora, who was behind the conception of a functional yacht sporting a classic, unmistakable elegance.
A deep V-shaped hull and a flared bow make for a smooth experience when passing over the waves and a dry deck even in rough sea conditions, providing a great sense of stability and defining some of the key elements among the nautical design qualities that make up the 18.29-metre-long Solaris Power 60 Coupé, with a 5.35 metre beam.
There is also plenty of space outdoors with the large aft sundeck (below which the tender garage is located) overlooking the small beach area and matching the bow sundeck. In the cockpit, the dinette, equipped with table, can sit up to eight.
The interior living area features a galley to the left and communicates with the cockpit dining area. In the saloon, there is an L-shaped sofa served by a table to port and a small sofa to starboard, located behind the helm station.
Next to the wheelhouse are the steps for descending into the cabin area, which can be organised with two full-beam master cabins and with the option of a third guest cabin. Alternatively, the third cabin can become a lounge. Another version is that which features three cabins with a lounge. In both solutions it is possible to opt for a crew cabin.
In terms of engines, the standard version running on two Volvo Penta D6 IPS 800 600 hp (27 knots maximum speed, 20 knots cruising speed) is flanked by solutions with two Volvo Penta D6 IPS 950 725 hp (31 knots at top speed and 25 knots cruising) and two Volvo Penta D13 IPS1350 1000 hp (36 knots at full speed and 28 knots cruising).
