What’s New at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show

Coming to a global showcase, straight from the experience of having taken part in the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona 2024, the Bluegame BGF45 is making her official debut at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show this year. A design developed directly from the BGH concept, the hydrogen-powered foiling chase boat supplied to the US and French teams challenging the 2024 Cup races, the BGF45 is a revolutionary innovation and the world’s first foil cat cruiser.

The design of the Bluegame BGF45 is by Luca Santella and Zuccon International Project while the hull was developed by Bluegame and the studio Caponnetto Huber, making for a stellar team of top experts, the latter of which are specialised specifically in fast hulls and foils.

At 14.15 metres long and 5.12 metres wide, the Bluegame BGF45 adds a foil system to the already top-tier quality catamaran hull that reduces hydro and aerodynamic resistance while maintaining stability and ease of manoeuvring.

From the spacious aft deck to the large sundecks, to the model’s comfortable dinette, the deck’s spaces are unique for a yacht of this size category. To the left of the helm station, flanked by a sofa, is the walkway leading to the other large sundeck in the bow.

The interior layout offers two double cabins with the master cabin in the bow and a third single cabin.

She is powered by two 320Kw IPS 600 Volvo Penta D6s for a maximum speed of 35 knots and a cruising speed of 28 knots. This performance is also achieved thanks to the catamaran-foil combination with a 30% reduction in consumption compared to a normal boat.
