What’s New at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show

Meticulous attention to every detail was paid to build a catamaran on which the key word is conviviality. This core concept defines Fountaine Pajot’s New 44, a model that, with its innovative electric auxiliary engine, is making its debut at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show.

Measuring 13.26 metres in length with a maximum beam of 7.44 metres, the New 44, designed by Berret-Racoupeau Design, takes the place of the previous Helia 44, adding further comfort, new solutions, and improvements to favour on-board habitability.

Among the most evident innovations are the enlarged deckhouse compared to the previous model, but also the new portholes that bathe the interiors in much more natural light (with direct passage from the interior living area to the forward cockpit), the large fly bridge and the double helm station.

As for the interior, the saloon, on the same level as the cockpit, offers a galley positioned behind the two spaces, separated if necessary by a transparent sliding door.

There are two layouts available: the Maestro, with owner’s cabin and two double cabins, and the Quatour, with four double cabins, four bathrooms and, optionally, a cabin for the skipper. The sail area is 125 square metres. Engine set-up: two 30 hp or two 57 hp.
