What’s New at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show

Elegance and innovation describe the new Solaris 55, which Solaris Yachts is unveiling at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show this year. With a length of 16.90 metres and a maximum beam of 5.00 metres, the new Solaris 55 bears the signature of Javier Soto Acebal with lines inspired by ocean racers, while the interior design is by Adi Design.

A wide bow and a slight edge above the waterline that increases stability, as well as a transom that opens up to create a garage for a tender, all make up the hull’s unique features. The deck is flush with an external wheelhouses to ensure maximum control. The cockpit with double tables creates a comfortable central passage to the cabin entrance.

The interior of the Solaris 55, with light coming in through the large hull windows and ceiling hatches, is organised with the utmost attention to comfort and exceptional attention to detail.

The standard layout includes, forward of the living area, a side dinette with a sofa and galley and standard 160-litre refrigerator, and then the master cabin with central bed. Aft, two double cabins with en-suite bathrooms and separate showers. Finally, the sail locker can be converted into a crew cabin.

The sail area of the new Solaris 55 is 182 square metres. There are two possible engine set-ups: a Yanmar 80 hp or a 110 hp alternative.
