What’s New at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show
SAIM Marine, the boating market division of the SAIM Group, is taking part in the 65th Genoa International Boat Show this year to unveil its five latest innovations, ranging from yacht management solutions to trim control, from water treatment to a system dedicated to making manoeuvring easier.
Among the innovative products and services that SAIM Marine is presenting at the Genoa International Boat Show is the Saim IoT Monitoring System, a solution that integrates hardware and software capable of detecting the most fundamental parameters of all SAIM products installed on board a vessel, in order to have everything under control via a single graphic interface.
The Saim IoT Monitoring System gathers data on all important parameters such as loads, consumption, temperatures, engine hours and all the useful information on the state of systems for technical evaluations, transferring them to an intuitive graphic interface for use by the boat itself, the charter company or the shipyard.
In addition, the system provides a variety of levels of access to information with graphical interfaces that can be presented with greater or less technical output, as needed, creating an interface for professionals, but also a responsive and user-friendly experience for captains or owners.
SAIM Marine is also bringing to the Genoa Boat Show, for the first time ever, the Zipwake PRO, the latest development from the Swedish company Zipwake, which revolutionised the market 10 years ago with the launch of its range of stabilisation systems based on attitude correctors. Among the main features of the Zipwake PRO (suitable for boats measuring from 20 to 100 feet) is a 5 times greater responsiveness rate in reacting to commands.
SAIM Marine is also showcasing the Enteron for its debut: the smallest black and grey water treatment system certified on the market in compliance with IMO/MED 2014/90/EU, IMO/MARPOL and MEPC (Marine Environment Protection Committee) directives. Enteton makes it possible to treat and purify water on board so that it can be discharged into the sea without having to depend on finding and using land areas for removal.
Finally, among the new products distributed by SAIM Marine for deck equipment is the JOY cleat from Milan-based Bonomi. JOY is a self-tailing cleat designed to facilitate mooring manoeuvres, as it reduces the effort needed to pull the lines and, above all, to secure them on the cleat with the lines under tension.
