What’s New at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show

X-Yachts is back in the world of true cruiser-racer models with the new XR 41, which Italian importer X-Yachts Italia is presenting at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show, fresh from its ORC 2025 World Champion title.

The Danish yard’s return to racing has been eagerly awaited by enthusiasts for the past 15 years and continues the winning tradition of models such as the XP 44, the X-41, the IMX 38, the IMX 40 and the IMX 45.

The new XR 41 measures 14.58 metres in length (with bowsprit) and offers a beam of 4.18 metres. As always is the case, the construction is refined in E-glass, carbon fibre and with a steel structure in the bilge (one of X-Yachts’ most prized features) which ensures maximum structural rigidity ensured by a firm hull-deck-keel block.

The new XR 41 is offered in Race and Sport versions with keel options that include various draughts (the standard is 2.40 metres) allowing owners to optimise performance and sail area as needed.

The XR 41 (in the model’s Race version) features modular interior elements that, like parts of the galley and lockers in the cabins, are easily interchangeable and can be removed for racing and reinstalled afterward to get back to cruising.

The Sport version of the XR 41 is for those seeking comfort and ease of manoeuvre without sacrificing performance. The rigging set-up is less competitive than onboard the Race and the interior is that of a refined cruiser with a bow double, two aft doubles, a navigation station and a highly well-equipped galley. The auxiliary is a 30 hp engine.
