The Oblò handle, designed by architect Bernardo Zuccon of Studio Zuccon International Project and manufactured by F.lli Razeto & Casareto, has been honoured at the ICONIC AWARDS 2025, an international competition dedicated to architecture, interior design, and product design, organised by the German Design Council, which received more than 560 entries from 45 countries.
“I am really proud to have received this award, thanks to Oblò, a handle, an object that may appear simple but whose design required the utmost attention,” stated Bernardo Zuccon (pictured left with Giangi Razeto, Head of Research & Development as well as Innovation and Design at F.lli Razeto & Casareto). “With the Studio team, we worked hard to hide everything that should not be visible, because the handle imposed a series of technical constraints that I tried to conceal, so that it would appear absolutely pure and traditional.“
“The Oblò carries forward a system already used in other models from our collection of handles for the marine sector. It allows for the integration of smart access points that communicate with the security and control systems on board, providing information to guests and crew through the light integrated into the handle itself, using universal colour codes such as red and green,” explained Giangi Razeto.
