What’s New at the 65th Genoa International Boat Show
After the success of the Long Cruise version, Cantiere del Pardo is taking part in the 65th Genoa International Boat Show to unveil the new Grand Soleil 65 Performance: the sporty evolution of a model already appreciated for its elegance, construction qualities, and comfort.
The new Grand Soleil 65 Performance (21.60 metres long by 5.90 metres of maximum beam) is designed by Matteo Polli for the naval architecture, Marco Lostuzzi for the structural design, and Nauta Design for the general layout, deck design, and interiors. Franco Corazza, project manager of the Plus line was responsible for concept development.
A great deal of attention was paid to the environmental aspect in the construction of the GS 65 Performance: The teak comes from a sustainable supply chain, the glass is laminated for better insulation, the composite lamination uses environmentally friendly flax and resins, the paints are water-based, and the solar panels provide renewable energy.
The sail plan is a powerful addition with a mainsail of 154 square metres, a jib (self-tacking) of 105 square metres and a Code Zero of 210 square metres. The deck plan has been designed for those who like to actively manoeuvre the boat with optimised rigging, while below deck the innovation compared to the Cruise version can be found in the saloon floor, which has been lowered, bringing it closer to the level of the fore and aft cabins. This arrangement improves internal circulation, making moving between environments smoother.
The interiors reflect Nauta Design’s sartorial and refined approach and the expert craftsmanship of Cantiere del Pardo’s expertise.
