Cantiere delle Marche, a world leader in the construction of luxury explorer yachts, founded in 2010 by Ennio Cecchini and Vasco Buonpensiere, has been acquired by CLP2, the holding company headed by Giovanni Cagnoli through Carisma and the Loro Piana family. CLP2 has acquired the majority of the yard’s share capital. The sellers were assisted in the transaction by Poggi & Associati for the legal aspects.
Ennio Cecchini (Chairman) and Vasco Buonpensiere (Managing Director) are staying on as partners in the company and will continue to be fully committed to the guidance and strategic development of Cantiere delle Marche.
“This represents a further step forward in the growth of Cantiere delle Marche, especially in terms of its positioning,” stated Vasco Buonpensiere. “We share with Carisma and the Loro Piana family the same vision of excellence, discretion, and authenticity that has always distinguished both our way and theirs of doing business,” added Ennio Cecchini.
“Together with the Loro Piana family, we have found in CdM an extraordinary example of passion, competence, and authenticity, all values that have always defined the companies in which we invest,” commented Giovanni Cagnoli. “Our goal is to support the company towards international development, in full respect of its DNA and extraordinary team.”
