THE ITALIAN MARINE INDUSTRY ASSOCIATION – CONFINDUSTRIA NAUTICA
The Italian Marine Industry Association is the national trade organisation of reference, having represented, promoted and protected the entire boating industry in Italy and around the world since 1967.
From superyacht manufacturers to small yards, from components and boating equipment to engines, from marinas and nautical tourism services to chartering and leasing: every segment throughout the boating sector knows it can count on the Italian Marine Industry Association as their respective reference point, and as a single voice capable of communicating directly with the authority and competence of a unified industry with the government and institutions, interpreting the needs of businesses and guiding the sector’s development.
The Italian Marine Industry Association provides regulatory, technical and fiscal advice to its members, monitoring national and European legislative developments in real time.
The organisation operates at an institutional level in direct open dialogue with political and governmental forces, with the objective of fortifying the boating sector’s growth, in part through legislative proposals, the collection and dissemination of market data, the promotion of maritime culture and the development of nautical tourism.
The Italian Marine Industry Association shares in the principles and initiatives of the Italian Tourism Federation, the Italian Marine Federation, Fondazione Edison, the Italian Sustainable Development Foundation, the Symbola Foundation, and Italy’s international trade fair association IT-EX.
On the international stage, the Italian Marine Industry Association is an active member of the governing bodies guiding ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry Associations) and the European federation EBI (European Boating Industry), coordinating the collective participation of Italian companies in the world’s leading industry events abroad.
To further enhance its commitment to promoting the sector as a whole, the Italian Marine Industry Association organises the Genoa International Boat Show, a leading international event and showcase for the excellence of Made in Italy production.
As part of its activities focused on encouraging training opportunities, the Italian Marine Industry Association offers training programmes for the industry and professional qualification options for young people who choose to pursue a career path within the boating sector.
