Antares Electrolysis is a deep-tech spin-off of the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) developing next-generation electrolysis systems based on Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM) technology. Its mission is to enable an industrial transition to decarbonization, starting with green hydrogen and expanding into electrochemical processes such as low-cost hydrogen production, CO₂ conversion into widely used carbon-based compounds (syngas, methanol, eFuels), and green ammonia synthesis.
The first product is a high-performance AEM stack, designed with a modular and scalable approach. The prototype for water electrolysis has been built and experimentally validated, achieving record efficiency. Antares stands out for its advanced engineering vision and scientific collaborations. With the hydrogen short stack completed, the roadmap includes scaling up production capacity and extending the stack to other electrochemical processes.
