Promostudi - Campus Universitario della Spezia

The Promostudi La Spezia Foundation has managed the University Campus of La Spezia since 2002. The campus hosts four bachelor's degree programs and two master's degree programs of the University of Genoa. Among its founding members are the Municipality of La Spezia, the Carispezia Foundation, and other local institutions and companies. The campus is an example of public-private collaboration and has established itself as an attractive hub for Italian and international students, with over 60% of students coming from outside the area. It records around 300 new enrollments each year, and the number of enrolled students for the 2024–2025 academic year is approximately 1,150. Teaching activities are supported by company visits, conferences, workshops, and international collaborations, including Erasmus projects. The campus is housed in the former M. M. Falcomatà Hospital, featuring modern classrooms and advanced laboratories for research and teaching.
